T12 Spinal Cord Injury
At the age of 24, Ephram Gudgeon’s life came to a dramatic twist when he got into a diving accident while swimming with his family back home in New Zealand. He was left with a T12 Spinal Cord Injury where he has completely lost all voluntary movements in his lower limbs. Whilst in pursuit of any treatment that could help him, Ephram heard about Unique Access and LamiSpine treatment from his friend, who is also living with Spinal Cord Injury and has received treatment with us before. Following his friend’s recommendation, Ephram decided to come here.
As a part of Ephram’s Treatment Protocol, he underwent LamiSpine Treatment, Cytotherapy, Physiotherapy, and Occupational Therapy. Following the treatment, Ephram enjoyed a wide-range of improvement- from regaining muscle mass, sensation, strength, and a better control over his bladder.
Since receiving (LamiSpine treatment), there are a lot of improvements in my legs. It’s gotten a lot stronger. With the help and assistance, I’m able to walk whilst standing. I can also feel a lot of pain, which to me, is good. I’d rather feel pain than feel nothing at all. Something else I’ve gained improvement in is my bladder. I can feel my bladder and when it’s filling up and when I need to go to the toilet. That in itself is a huge blessing to me”
